When you scan physical documents using a flatbed scanner, multi-function printer, or phone camera app, the scanner may not detect the correct orientation automatically. This is especially common when scanning mixed documents — some portrait, some landscape — in a single batch. The resulting PDF often has pages that need to be rotated before they are readable or printable.

How PDF Rotation Works
Our tool uses the PDF-lib JavaScript library to modify the rotation metadata of each page in your PDF. Rather than re-rendering the content (which could affect quality), it simply updates the rotation angle stored in the page dictionary. This means the original text, images, fonts, and formatting remain completely untouched — only the viewing angle changes. The operation is lossless and instant.
